ABOUT US

The OSMOSIS Play Centre and Educational Games Library was setup in 2010 with an aim to help children navigate any ups and downs in their lives. The Centre aims to be all-inclusive and offers therapy for any child, regardless of their age or gender.

In particular, OSMOSIS pays closer attention to children with Learning Difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, etc. and provides them with an open and accepting space to explore their talents and skills with proper care and guidance.

At OSMOSIS, our mission is to bring up the child’s level of learning and align it with the demands of their school curriculum. Our strategy is to provide assistance to the children ahead of time, note down key areas of focus for each of the children, recognizing their strengths and weaknesses, and then creating a structured map that helps them to learn and overcome their difficulties.

Since at least one in ten children in school today is impacted by learning difficulties, our task is a huge and difficult one. OSMOSIS is run by a qualified group of individuals who collaborate with each child’s parents as well as school teachers to provide a balanced profile that is more than helpful to the children.

For each child, their profile notes areas of progress, areas where they are most proficient and areas where they are confident and shine with their talent.

Teaching assessments are undertaken on a regular basis and the appropriate modifications and changes to the teaching methods are made according to the children’s needs and interests. Currently, Remedial Educational Therapy is used where the student–teacher ratio is 1:1 because it is found to be most effective.

To ensure that the teachers are up to the task, we carefully screen and choose our teachers according to the proper mindset and then we continue to develop them.

With our dedicated group of teachers, there is no limit to what our children can achieve.

The OSMOSIS centre has been actively working in this field for years and was formally registered as a Public Trust in 2010 (Registration No.: E/7504/Vadodara).

  • Father of Uvika (Student)

  • Hello,
I am the mother of Saachi Shah, now aged 25, who is a quadriplegic spastic child. Saachi was diagnosed at an early age of 10 months. It immensely helped in her treatment. Everything started early as a result, speech therapy, NDT, behavior therapy, special education.

Saachi started with Miss Monaz at an early age of 3&1/2 years approximately. She almost always went to a normal school, so it was always challenging for us. But her early start with Monaz helped her in getting a strong hold over her basics, the languages and also maths. To date Saachi has never had any issues in her studies, apart from maths, because of the strong base built by Monaz. Her dedication and passion in teaching her children is extraordinary. I would love to share the credit of Saachi’s academic success with Monaz, and it has been an exemplary success by a special child with very limited motor functions. Saachi scored 72% in her Xth board exams from the CBSE board and 80% in the Arts stream from the CBSE . She completed her graduation in majors in sociology from IGNOU. Nowadays Saachi is learning the German language as an amateur.

I can only emphasise that all the help and support provided to such institutions where the ignored and under-estimated children lie, will lead to not only in improving their own lives but also in a better economy and a stronger country.

  • " Would like to share with you all the journey of Saachi.."

She is one of the most premature born children, 650 grams at birth. Saachi is a quadriplegic spastic child, now 23 years old. Though she can’t write, she gives her exams orally. She has completed her education in a normal school. She stood 3rd in the UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli in std 12 in humanities stream. She received the Gyan Gaurav award and a cash price of Rs.8000/- for the same. She just completed her BA majors in sociology from IGNOU in the first division.

I sincerely hope that she will soon start some work and attain financial independence. She started receiving educational help from Monaaz at the age of 3-4 years. I sincerely believe that the earlier we start streamlining and identifying our children’s abilities and inabilities, the more we can help them reach their full potential. The journey is a tough one, but every bit worth it.
